Tools from Google
These are basically the tools which are provided by Google, for FREE. The only thing that you need is a Google Account. So if you don’t have a Google account, create your Google account now.
This is my all time favorite tool and has always been my very first priority. You need to have a Google Adwords account to access this Tool.
This tool is very instrumental for Keyword Research. It gives an excellent idea about what keywords you must use so that users are able to find content on your page.
This is also known as Google Webmaster Tools. Use this link to login to search console. You need to add your site ( as property) in search console. You can also submit your site to Google from search console. I suggest you to read my complete article on submit your site to Google. Google Webmaster is an amazing tools and it helps you in the following.
- Fix Google Crawling errors.
- Suggests HTML improvements.
- Search Analytics – Clicks per page,Average Positions etc.

This is another great tool from Google. This tool helps you check how your website is performing and analyse traffic for each of your blogs. In short it helps you know
How many Users,PageViews you had and what is the Bounce Rate, Average Session Duration of your web pages.
It will help you find the demographics, means from which part of the world you are getting the traffic and at what time.
It also tells, which keywords were used by readers to arrive at your page.

Competitor Site Analysis Tools
This is a real simple tool available for FREE. You can download the relevant version (Windows/Mac) as per your operating system. Once installed , it is really easy to use, with user friendly interface.Here you can enter your competitors website and it would tell you following.
- How many web pages are there on competitors site.
- What H1/H2 tags are being used by your competitor.
- Meta Descriptions/Meta Keywords being used by your competitor.
- It also tells canonical link elements, article word counts.
- Internal and external link count on any article.
Overall its a good tool to analyse competitor webpages.
Following two tools are absolutely FREEly available and you can straightaway check backlinks of any of your competitors.
Just visit above URL’s , type in competitors url and you will able to see the pages where your backlinks for your competitor pages exists. This gives you a good idea , where you can create your backlinks.
There are couple of Google commands which you can type in search address bar and find useful information.Try these for now.
Just type link followed by a colon and your competitors website. You will be able to see top backlinks of your competitors website which were indexed by Google.
This will tell you all competitor websites which contains competitors URL’s in the links. The information is really useful to find backlinks indexed by Google.
