So make sure you read till the end and discover what’s there for you.
About Blogging: Secrets people never disclose, when they teach you how to start a blog
So, let’s see what are those challenges you must know while you blog.
1. Blogging is Tough (You need to win the War, not battles)
Journey!! Yes that’s true. If you are beginner, then your journey will be tough. You will need to learn many more things than just content. It’s not easy to find content topics for your niche, even if its a food blog. You need to think what other think and they search for.
Publishing a post requires time and effort. Sometimes it takes months before your traffic numbers surge. So you need to be have patience. Also there is lot of experimentation involved as there is no rule book. The only rule book is Google Webmaster Guidelines. So don’t be afraid of failure.
The most important thing is try to win battles if you want to win the War. Focus on your content, optimization, marketing and you must have a proper milestone strategy for the whole of year.
2. Blogging requires Consistency, don’t let money distract you (Blogging is not a sprint, its a Marathon)
This is about the passive income we all have heard of. The biggest myth about passive income is that it’s passive.
It’s very cheerful to see your account being credited with so many dollar’s for that affiliate sales and you head to a vacation and forget blogging.
Believe me , in no time, that passive income will fade away and all your hard work might just go off. You will need to put consistent effort on your blogs, publish new blogs, keep yourself updated, work on SEO and all those stuff to keep yourself in the game.
Remember, its not a sprint that you win once off, its a Marathon, you need to keep going on and on.
3. Success is not Overnight (Stay Dedicated, Its not going to happen overnight)
Your blog will not be successful over night. Good Content does not necessarily means you will get more readers. You will have to do quite a lot of hard work to get readers, no matter what you post.
Readers don’t come automatically, you need to earn readers.
Also remember that its takes time for your posts and pages to be indexed. Some time it takes several months, because SEO take time, So stay dedicated and don’t lose interest.
Google Loves fresh stuff, so keep posting fresh content.
4. Looks really matter, Its not just content (Elegance is Beauty)
You have heard it before many times,”First impression is the last impression“, well that stands true for this new blogging industry as well.Your blog looks or the Themes does matter, while many people say its all about content. There are certain blogs I just cant stand and click away without even reading a single line. They are awful. So make sure you have elegance and your blog’s first look is attractive for your readers.
5. Love Code,Technology,Photography,Marketing & much more
A blogger is many in one. So I am a Tech savvy, photographer, marketing, writer, editor, avid reader, developer, designer and much more.
If you want your blog to succeed you will eventually have to love Code and Technology, does not matter you are writing a food blog or a fashion blog. There is no SEO (Search Engine Optimization) without code.
But nothing to worry, as no one was ever given any training when they started their blog journey. Even I have learned so much in technology, photography, marketing over these years that now i consider myself as a blogger with many in one skills.
6. Its a Full Time Business (Turn your part Time Passion into Full Time Business)
If you think you can be successful blogger with a job in hand, then I must warn you that it’s not that easy. Blogging is like running a full time business with full dedication. Top bloggers spend more than 10 hours per day for first couple of years to make their blog successful.
You will be doing all the stuff ranging from sales, marketing, photography, accounting, writings content and lots of other things which might be boring. Run it as you are running your own business.
Take this seriously especially if you are planning to earn livelihood out of it.
7. High Competition
The competition is too much. Don’t underestimate the one’s who are in the industry for years. You will be doing stuff which millions of others people are doing. You need to do it smartly and differently.
You need to have original content or in fact WOW content, if you want to drive traffic to your blog. You need to understand what readers like to read and understand their search patterns. At time’s you might suffer due to relationships and contacts, typical examples are fashion blogs.
The more you love technology and SEO, the more successful you would be in this new and highly competitive industry.
